Day 11 at the World Cup

|

It is crunch time on Day 11 of the World Cup, with two Man United representing nations needing a result.

It is sure to be a busy day for the Manchester United representative at the World Cup, who will be aiming to secure victories that will safely ensure their passage to the Round of 16.

Firstly, Tyrell Malacia will be hoping to feature and that his side can do the business against the host nation Qatar, who they play at 3pm UK time. The Netherlands know that a win or a draw against Qatar will see them qualify for the next stage. However, if the Dutch suffer a defeat against Qatar, Malacia and his team will still have done enough to qualify if Ecuador beat Senegal.

England’s next game is against Wales and despite being in a commanding position in the group, it is still a vital game for Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw, Marcus Rashford and their England team-mates, who know that victory will be enough to book their place in the Round of 16.

With England sitting on four points in Group B, they know that a draw will be enough for them to qualify and if England are to get a result tonight then they will need their United contingent to continue their good World Cup form, which has seen Maguire and Shaw keep a clean sheet and record an assist each, as well as Rashford who scored just 49 seconds after coming on against Iran.

With so much at stake, it is sure to be a gripping day of World Cup action.
