The names of Manchester United and Gareth Bale have featured regularly in the same sentence over the last few months.

The general insinuation has been that Jose Mourinho would like to add the 28-year-old Welshman to his squad, with Bale providing that world-class wide-player Mourinho has often mentioned.

But, according to the news source, the Manchester Evening News, any quest to bring Bale to Old Trafford could be a forlorn one.

Our referenced source, picking up on something touched on by the Italian news source, Tuttosport, is reporting that Gareth Bale`s agent has inferred that his client doesn`t want to leave his current club, Real Madrid, with his agent suggesting he “loves” the club.

However, Bale`s future may not be in his own hands. Real Madrid, so far, have not had the best of seasons and there could be a major overhaul of the squad carried out this summer and Bale, we believe, could be one of the many casualties.

As has been the case for several weeks, here at Vital Manchester United, we`ll keep a watchful eye open for any further developments and report back as deemed appropriate.
