Manchester United desire to add another Chilean international to the squad, joining our latest acquisition Alexis Sanchez, could be doomed to failure.

The Chilean in question, Arturo Vidal, would bring some extra steel to a midfield that looks set to bid farewell to Michael Carrick at the end of the current season.

Vidal, 30-years-of-age, is on the books of the Bundesliga outfit, Bayern Munich, where it appears, according to the news source, the Daily Mirror he is set to stay.

Our referenced source, picking up on something commented on by the news source Sport1, is championing the suggestion that Arturo has no intentions of leaving Bavaria and has committed to Bayern Munich, who are currently running away with the German League title this season.

If that is the case then it would appear Manchester United will have to look elsewhere.
