A Chance To Have Your Say On Manchester United’s Summer Transfer Window Dealings

After the thrashing Tottenham Hotspur handed out to Manchester United, last Sunday, it was a miserable time to be a United supporter.

I perhaps was not the only supporter who was looking, the following day, for the summer transfer deadline to provide me with the perfect pick-me-up.

Having already signed Donny van de Beek, Manchester United proceeded to add Edinson Cavani, Alex Telles and Facundo Pellistri to the squad.

But will the addition of those four mentioned help to narrow the gap, a gap which some would say is enormous, between Manchester United and the likes of Liverpool and Manchester City when it comes to challenging for the title?

I would like to think so, but I have my doubts.

After all, Manchester United failed to add a centre-back to the squad when one, on the evidence of this season, is sorely needed.

I also cannot help wondering why the club was left desperately scratching around to bring players to the club so close to the transfer window slamming shut.

Did we waste too much time chasing Jadon Sancho, in a deal that was never going to happen when you consider what the total package would cost?

To me, it was, when needs dictated otherwise, a disappointing transfer window.

But is that a view you concur with?
