A £70 Million Signing Could Heal Those Defensive Wounds At United

|

It wouldn’t be a fresh day if there weren’t one or two rumours relating to who Manchester United might be bringing to Old Trafford.

This morning, a member of the tabloid press, the Sun, has reported that Manchester United are showing an interest in a Slovakian defender currently on the books of the Italian side, Inter Milan.

The player in question is Milan Skriniar, a 23-year-old Slovakian international.

However, the defender will cost Manchester United a pretty packet with a fee of £70 million quoted.

There’s also the small matter of interest from another Premier League club with Chelsea, according to our source, also showing an interest.

At the price quoted, in what is becoming a vastly inflated market, I’d be expecting those defensive problems that have troubled us all season to disappear, but it remains to be seen whether the deal can be sealed or whether the bright lights of West London will hold sway with the Slovakian.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll endeavour to keep an eye out for any further developments and report back as deemed necessary.
