Don’t Be Overly Concerned About The Increasing Speculation Linking Rashford With A Move To Real Madrid, I’m Not

|

Speculation relating to the future of Marcus Rashford continues to generate column inches in the press.

Rashford a valued member of the Manchester United squad seems to have attracted the attention of the media courtesy of being unable to hold down a regular place in Jose Mourinho’s starting eleven.

As a consequence, the suggestion has emerged that the young striker could be a surprise transfer target for the Spanish giants, Real Madrid.

Today, that talk has gathered momentum, courtesy of the tabloid publication, the Sun, which is reporting that Rashford, if his situation regarding a regular starting place doesn’t improve, is ready to talk to Real Madrid.

Whilst, here in the editorial chair, I can see the angle the media are coming from, I’d be hugely surprised if Rashford were, in the immediate future, be prepared to leave the club.

The 21-year-old is a life-long Manchester United fan and although a move to the Bernabeu may seem attractive, the youngster is realistic enough to accept that, if he were to move, he’d probably find himself in the same situation, vying for a starting place with the rest of Madrid’s hugely talented pool of forwards.

Therefore, I shouldn’t be too concerned about the rumours, I’m not.
