This is when the Carabao Cup draw takes place

|

Manchester United booked their spot in the last four of the Carabao Cup after beating Charlton Athletic 3-0 at Old Trafford, and now United’s attention turns to who they will face in the semi-finals.

Goals from Antony and a double from Marcus Rashford ensured that United reached the semi-finals of the League Cup for the third time in four seasons, having previously done it twice under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer during the 2019/20 and 2020/21 season.

The semi-final draw for the Carabao Cup will take place following the conclusion of the Southampton and Manchester City game, which kicks off at 8pm UK time. The draw will be shown on Sky Sports for those in the UK.

It will be interesting to see who Erik ten Hag’s side will get in the semi-finals, which is a two-legged contest to determine what team will advance to the final of 2022/23 Carabao Cup.

Newcastle booked their spot in the last four last night by beating Leicester 2-0 at St James’ Park and tonight we will find out who completes the semi-final line-up for this season’s Carabao Cup as Nottingham Forest and Wolves go head-to-head at the City Ground, whilst Southampton host Manchester City at St Mary’s.

The first leg of the semi-final will take place on the week beginning 23rd January and the second leg is scheduled to take place a week later. The fixture list does not give United any breathing space because pencilled in between the two-legged Carabao Cup ties is an Emirates FA Cup fourth round clash against Reading at Old Trafford.
