What United players are playing – Day 7

|

Day 7 of the World Cup sees some important matches for the Manchester United players in Qatar.

In the first game, which kicks off at 10am U.K. time, sees Tunisia play Australia. Hannibal Mejbri, who made his World Cup debut as a 19-year-old in Tunisia’s last game will be hoping to feature against the Australians as Tunisia look to build upon their impressive performance against Denmark on Tuesday, where they claimed a deserve point.

The second game sees Saudi Arabia and Poland do battle against each other at 1pm U.K. time, however, there will be no United players who will feature in this game. Nevertheless, it should be a good game as Saudi Arabia will be in confident mood having beaten Argentina in their last outing, whereas Poland need the points, having drawn 0-0 with Mexico on Tuesday.

United fans attentions will turn to the game between France and Denmark because there could be two Man United players playing in that game. Christian Eriksen, who played and captain Denmark in the second half during their draw with Tunisia, will be hoping to start against France. Denmark have a good recent record against France as they beat the Les Bleus twice in the nations league recently.

Raphael Varane will be hoping to start for France as he recovered from his injury and made the bench for the game against Australia, where France demolished their opponents 4-1.

The game between the French and the Danes will kick off at 4pm at Stadium 974.

The final game could potentially see Lisandro Martinez start for Argentina for the first time when they take on Mexico.

Martinez came on a second half substitute during Argentina’s 2-1 defeat to Saudi Arabia.
