Media speculation in recent weeks, as covered by Vital Manchester United, has concentrated on the fact that Manchester United want to hold on to David de Gea.

The 27-year-old Spaniard is seen as the mainstay between the posts at Old Trafford for the foreseeable future.

But, with Real Madrid continually being linked with a move for the goalkeeper, much of the speculation has been linked to Manchester United offering de Gea a new deal to head off any further interest from the current holders of the Champions League trophy.

However, surprisingly, according to the news vehicle, Yahoo, de Gea has ye tto be offered a new deal.

Our referenced source reports that de Gea, who has just sixteen months left on his current contract, has yet to receive a new contract offer, even though much of the aforementioned speculation has resulted to Manchester United being willing to pay as much as £350,000 a week to the Spaniard to persuade him to prolong his Old Trafford career.

Now, at the moment, we`re not unduly worried but it would settle any nerves if reports were to emerge that talks are on-going as opposed to nothing has been offered, how about it Manchester United?
