Although I get the feeling Tottenham Hotspur may be a little reticent to do any transfer business with Manchester United, money often talks.

This morning, in the light of supposed interest in the England striker Harry Kane, from Real Madrid, the best-selling red-top publication this nation produces, The Sun, is keen to point out that the 24-year-old is reportedly ready to pledge his future to the club for at least one more season.

However, in covering that inference, our referenced source has also commented on the fact that the North London club face a tougher task in keeping hold of two other members of their squad.

Seemingly, according to our source, Manchester United are showing interest in acquiring the services of two defenders currently on the books of the North London club, with the duo being Toby Alderweireld and Danny Rose, both of whom are, apparently, far from happy with their lot at the club.

Now we may not be able to persuade both to venture north but if either one of them were to join the Manchester United squad it`d be hard to argue against it being an improvement to what we already have.

As usual, we`ll keep an eye out for any notable developments on the duo.
