The big poll question we, here at Vital Manchester United asked, related to the long-term future of Ole Gunnar Solksjaer.
The insinuation being bandied about by the media and as reported in our article – united-prepared-to-reward-solksjaer-for-failure, inferred that even if Manchester United fail to qualify for European football this season, then the Old Trafford hierarchy would not axe the Norwegian and would be prepared to keep him in his current managerial role.
Sat here in the editorial seat I couldn’t help but ponder as to whether that was the equivalent to rewarding failure.
As a result, I used the poll facility to ask the question:
IF UNITED FAIL TO QUALIFY FOR EUROPE SHOULD SOLKSJAER BE KEPT ON?
The response showed that you don’t agree with the Old Trafford hierarchy with 56% voting for the NO option whereas only 38% went for the YES option.
As for the other 6%, they were undecided.
My view is that time is running out for Ole and unless results improve dramatically, we could see a change come the summer.
