United players seen arriving at Old Trafford

The Manchester United players have been seen arriving at Old Trafford ahead of their Premier League fixture against Leeds United this evening at 8pm UK time.

This is an important game for Erik ten Hag’s side as should they beat Leeds, then they will move level on points with second place Manchester City and go six points clear of Tottenham Hotspur in fifth [Premier League]. United go into this fixture on the back of a character-building 2-1 win over Crystal Palace on Saturday, whilst opponents Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat in their last Premier League outing to Nottingham Forest, which saw the end of Jesse Marsh’s time at Elland Road.

United will be hoping to get the job done tonight and secure a vital three points in their quest to secure Champions League football, and from the arrivals, there is positive news because it looks as though Diogo Dalot is in the matchday squad as he was seen making his way inside Old Trafford.

Alejandro Garnacho was one of several United players who were filmed making their way inside Old Trafford, and with Antony not in the matchday squad due to injury, there might be a start for the Argentine, and if he is included in the starting XI tonight, then it will be his third start of the season, having started against Aston Villa and Wolves [Transfermarkt].

New signing Marcel Sabitzer was pictured making his way to the dressing room and with Casemiro out due to suspension, the Austrian is hoping to make his first Manchester United start, having impressed in his second-half cameo against Palace at the weekend.

Saturday’s Player of the Match against the Eagles, Lisandro Martinez, was also seen arriving at the Theatre of Dreams and if United are to pick up three points, then the Argentine will need to put in a strong showing as given that United are likely to have the majority of the ball, the 25-year-old’s passing from deep and ball carrying abilities will be important in breaking Leeds down.

The game between Manchester United and Leeds United kicks off at 8pm UK time, however, for those in the UK, the game will not be shown live on either Sky Sports, BT Sport or Amazon Prime because because this game was not selected for TV coverage back in September, when the match was originally due to take place but had to be postponed due to the Queen’s funeral.
