United Interested in Loan Move For American Star

|

Manchester United could make a loan move for Chelsea and USA international Christian Pulisic with the departure of Ronaldo, Cody Gakpo has said that it is “always nice to hear such rumours” as United are keen on signing the Dutchman.

The World Cup starts its eighth day in Qatar today but with some players putting on great performances for their country, Manchester United’s name will always be in the hat for most players.

United have been linked with Pulisic the past couple of days with the American playing against England on Friday night and impressing alongside his teammates, the reason why he is being linked with Ten Hag’s side is that with Ronaldo’s contract terminated and an injury-prone90-minute Martial, United do not have a forward to lead the line.

According to ESPN, United are considering loaning in Pulisic, with him only playing one full 90 minute game for Chelsea this season against Manchester City in the Carabao Cup.

Newcastle and Arsenal are also in for the former Borussia Dortmnumbernger, if he came to United he would be guaranteed more game time than if he was to stay at Chelsea, due to the amount of attackers they have.

In an interview by club with The Athletic, he was asked if he would be interested in a move in the January transfer window which he responded by saying “Right now I’m busy with the Dutch team. I’ll see what happens in the winter. In football, anything is possible.”

Scoring two goals in two games for Louis Van Gaal’s team in the World Cup so far, he is definitely using the World Cup as leverage to make it known how much of a good player he is.

The rumours started in the summer transfer window because they seemed to be genuine interest and with former United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy being his manager at PSV Eindhoven, it always seemed like this transfer was going to be heavily linked.
