Okay, okay, the Europa League game, last night, was a dead rubber, but the defeat still leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.
Ole Gunnar Solksjaer may have chosen to give numerous youngsters a run-out, but a defeat is a defeat and it is another black mark on the Norwegians record.
In fact, with Ole admitting that the cup competitions are Manchester United’s only chance of silverware this season, a sad indictment of just how low the club has slipped in the last two years, I’m starting to believe that we’re fast approaching the time when, yet again, we need a change in the managerial hot-seat.
Events in the last ten days have seen a manager, who has often been linked with Old Trafford in the past, Mauricio Pochettino made available with the Argentine being sensationally sacked by Tottenham Hotspur.
I can’t help thinking that Pochettino would be far more suitable for the managerial hot-seat than Solskajer and, in the poll below, it’ll be interesting to see if that view is shared by those who frequent this site.
