United Could Be Set To Bid Farewell To A Loyal Defender

|

Back in the days when the January transfer window was open, here at Vital Manchester United, we wouldn’t have been too surprised if the club had parted company with Matteo Darmian.

The Italian defender has been something of a peripheral figure this season and hasn’t been a regular starter, therefore a move, in our eyes, looked inevitable.

However, it didn’t happen, possibly because at the time when the window was open Darmian did get some first-team action.

However, it seems that the 29-year-olds career, at Old Trafford, is set to come to an end this summer.

The news source, football italia, is reporting that there is interest from Darmian’s homeland with a view to a permanent move.

The interest comes from Inter Milan who are, according to our aforementioned source, willing to pay a fee of £9.5 million for the right-back.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we reckon this is a deal that could go through quite smoothly.
