According to Nicola Balice of Cor Sport, Manchester United are going to make “a serious attempt to sign Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in January” [Cor Sport].

Vlahovic was with Serbia at the World Cup finals and from the two games that he played in the tournament, he scored one goal, which came in Serbia’s final group game against Switzerland but the goal proved to be in vain as Switzerland won 3-2 [Transfermarkt].

The Juventus striker has been in the goals for the Italian side this year and it is easy to see why he has caught the eye of Erik ten Hag because he has scored six goals in 10 Serie A appearances and last season for Juventus and Fiorentina, he scored 24 goals from 36 appearances [Transfermarkt].

If United are to secure the Serb’s signature then they will have to ward off competition from the top European clubs because according to the Daily Mail, Arsenal, Bayern Munich Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with the 20-year-old [Daily Mail].

United have been linked with several names including Cody Gakpo and Goncalo Ramos as ten Hag is desperate to bolster his forward line because currently United only have two recognised centre forwards in Anthony Martial and Marcus Rashford.

With United keen to add to the 20 goals that they have scored all season in the Premier League, Vlahovic, who has regularly found the back of the net in Italian football, would be a good addition to the United squad and help them score more goals in an attempt to secure UEFA Champions League football for next season.
