Transfer Window To End In Disappointment For Manchester United Supporters Hoping To See Some Action

|

We’re just four days away until the January transfer window slams shut and all the speculative kerfuffle comes to a dramatic and swift end.

Previously, I’d expressed a view that I’d be very surprised if Manchester United were to be actively involved in bringing in any top-class operatives.

However, I had my suspicions that there could be one or two fringe players that could be heading for the Old Trafford exit door either on loan or permanent deals, with the likes of Matteo Darmian, Antonio Valencia and Andreas Pereira getting honourable mentions.

But, it appears that will not be the case.

As Manchester United prepare to welcome Burnley, to Old Trafford, for a Tuesday night Premier League fixture, Ole Gunnar Solksjaer has spoken to the media and the BBC, are reporting that the Norwegian has quelled any such suspicions, remarking:

“At the moment I can see everyone staying.”

If that is the case it’ll be one of the quietest transfer windows I can remember and I might be tempted to park my quill for a couple of days, ditching any transfer speculation and concentrating on the forthcoming Premier League programme.
