Thrice Round the Block Then You Can Go Home!

If anyone has doubts that Louis van Gaal is anything other than meticulous in his approach, then read on.

After spending 18 days away from their families as Manchester United participated in the Intercontinental Champions Cup, in the US, you`d imagine that the players would be more than keen to be reunited with their families when that plane touched down at Manchester Airport last Thursday afternoon.

However, our Dutch manager had other ideas!

Louis, after the squad had endured an eight hour flight decided that the players would be better served by participating in an additional training session.

Now obviously it was nothing too strenuous and was more of a light work-out to stretch those muscles that had been sat idle for the eight hours it took to fly from Chicago to Manchester.

However, I`d love to have seen the look on the faces of the players when they realised what was about to become them!
