Maguire, Shaw and Rashford England beat Senegal 3-0 as they progress into the Quarterfinals against France.

Gareth Southgate made one change to the starting 11 after the 3-0 against Wales on Tuesday, Bukayo Saka replace Marcus Rashford, with Sterling not in the team due to family reasons.

The first chance of the game went to Senegal’s striker Dia who was in on goal and got passed Stones, however, Harry Maguire came across and got a toe to the ball to drive the ball away from the goal.

Bellingham and Kane both put crosses into the box which did not find anyone, as England controlled the game but wasn’t developing their chances in the 18-yard box.

The African side had a chance when Watford player Ismaila Sarr put his shot over the bar. Dia had Senegal’s best chance of the game in the 22nd minute, as he forced Pickford into action for the first time.

With England looking for the breakthrough, teenage sensation Jude Bellingham made an intelligent run from Kane dropping deep into a false nine position, to slot the Borussia Dortmund player through, who played the ball across to the arriving Jordan Henderson, who scored his second-ever goal in an England shirt.

Gareth Southgate’s side added a second before halftime as Bellingham and Foden had great link-up play to put Harry Kane through who found the net, as he got his first goal of this World Cup campaign.

Senegal made three changes at halftime, England were not fazed however as they scored in the 56th minute with Saka getting his third goal of the tournament.

England are still unbeaten against African teams, as they face France next Saturday at 19:00 in the Quarter Finals.
