The Chase For A Centre-Back Continues As Two Targets Are Ruled Out

|

The quest to stiffen up our defensive back-line has this transfer window, failed, as of yet, to deliver.

Today, we can report that two players who have been linked with a move to Old Trafford previously, are now very unlikely to be wearing our famed red-shirt in the very near future.

The first, the Brazilian defender, Eder Militao, a 21-year-old currently on the books of FC Porto, is, according to the tabloid publication, the Mirror, set to join Real Madrid, having verbally given his word that the Bernabeu will be his next destination.

The second, the Slovakian defender, Milan Skriniar, a 23-year-old currently on the books of Inter Milan, is, according to our source, Calciomercato, set to ignore the overtures of both ourselves and Manchester City to remain at the Serie A club.

As the saying goes, you can’t win them all or there are more fish in the sea.

It’s just the ongoing wait that is proving to be a little tiresome as we ponder over who might fill that missing piece of the jigsaw.
