Ten Hag vs Conte- Opinion

|

Manchester United have come on leaps and bounds with Erik Ten Hag but before the Dutchman came to the club from Ajax, there was another man who most thought would get the job at Old Trafford.

That man is current Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte who formerly managed Chelsea, taking them to their fifth Premier League in 2016/17.

He previously managed two Italian giants, Juventus and Inter Milan and has won at least one trophy everywhere he has been, so you would think that he would be the perfect manager to come into United to bring back the winning feeling back to the club.

However, at the start of this season Erik Ten Hag took over as manager at Old Trafford and Antonio Conte started his second season with Spurs.

The two clubs at the moment are complete opposites with Manchester United and Ten Hag being high-flying birds playing brilliant attacking football that gets fans on the edge of their seat wanting to see more from this great team that Ten Hag has created so far.

In comparison to Spurs and Conte where the fans are unsure if they want him at the club because he plays a very defensive brand of football which you can’t fault him for with that working before in the Premier League alongside Jose Mourinho and what he did at Chelsea when he won the Premier League.

But most people said that United needed Conte because he is a serial winner and the titles and cups are there to show, the major difference is that Manchester United in their entire history have never been dominant by playing a defensive brand of football, it worked under Mourinho for a season but apart from that the club always look to play positive football.

This is because this is what the club was built on playing attacking football that the working class man could watch on a Saturday at 3 pm and that will never change because of the history and ethics installed in the club, even if the owners are not the best.
