It would appear, according to the news vehicle, the Standard, Manchester United remain keen to lure the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Christian Eriksen, to the club.
Eriksen, according to our source, is only paid £70,000 a week by the North London club, a pittance when it comes to the salaries a player of his standard normally earns in the Premier League.
Although Tottenham have offered the Danish international a new contract that would double his salary, the 27-year-old has yet to put pen-to-paper.
However, as you’d expect, if Eriksen does become available there will be other clubs interested with our quoted source inferring our main rival for his signature could be real Madrid, hence the necessity to be able to offer the player Champions League football.
