PSG Boss States The Obvious As The Resumption Of The Champions League Draws Nearer

|

With the knockout stages of the Champions League fast approaching, the anticipation levels are already starting to rise.

It’s fair to say that Manchester United didn’t have much luck in the draw when they were paired with the cash-laden French side, Paris Saint-Germain.

However, our experience in this famous old competition tells us that to progress to its later stages and possibly the final, you have to overcome the obstacles placed in your path.

Last week, Manchester United’s chances of reaching the next knockout stages of the competition were further boosted when the news was confirmed that Paris Saint-Germain would be without their star striker, the Brazilian Neymar.

Neymar, the most expensive player in the world, picked up a foot injury that will rule him out of both legs.

But, lurking in the pages of the news vehicle, Goal, are some words from the Paris Saint-Germain boss, Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel, in talking about the unavailability of 26-year-old Neymar, is of the opinion his side can cope without their talisman.

Well, obviously, he would say that, wouldn’t he? He’s hardly going to raise the white flag and admit Neymar’s absence hands Manchester United the tie on a plate!

Our opinion, here at Vital Manchester United, is that Neymar’s absence does give Manchester United the edge but it’ll still be a tough tie and one in which we cannot afford to be complacent or make any errors.

But boy, I’m really looking forward to it, aren’t you?
