Here is how we think the players performed in this blockbuster and exciting Premier League clash.

David de Gea 5/10 – Distribution was not the best but he did have some nice passes. Could have prevented the second goal had he had a better starting position. Made a good save off Nketiah.

Aaron Wan Bissaka 6/10 – The United right-back did well up against Gabriel Martinelli but could have done better at the back post with the Nketiah header.

Raphael Varane 7/10 – The Frenchman played well as he kept his composure when other didn’t. Was not targeted by Arsenal.

Lisandro Martinez 8/10 – Got his first goal in United colours with a great header and performed extremely well as his passing from deep caused Arsenal some problems and he was defensively sound when dealing with Arsenal’s attacks.

Luke Shaw 6/10 – Was pinned back by Saka and as a result he could not get as forward as he would have liked.

Scott McTomiany 6/10 – Making his first Premier League start for United since the game against Manchester City in the derby, and even though he competed well, he could have been more composed in midfield. Brought out a save from Aaron Ramsdale.

Christian Eriksen 6/10 – Was effective when United had the ball, but he should have closed down Bukayo Saka for Arsenal’s second goal. Made a vital block that prevented Arsenal’s captain Martin Odegaard from scoring.

Bruno Fernandes 6/10 – Got an assist for the first goal and he was involved as he always is. Denied Granit Xhaka with a clearance.

Marcus Rashford 7/10 – Played well, and struck a brilliant opener that was in the mould of Cristiano Ronaldo. with that dip.

Antony 6/10 – Retained the ball well and he did his defensive duties as he tracked back in what was an encouraging display.

Wout Weghorst 6/10 – Worked hard and he linked-up well with his team-mates, but goalscoring wise, he did did not look a threat. However, hopefully, the more he plays, the more goals he will get.
