New Liverpool vs United date confirmed

|

Manchester United’s game against Liverpool has been given a new date and it has been selected for TV coverage.

The game against Jurgen Klopp’s side at Anfield in what many describe as the biggest fixture in English football will now take place on Sunday 5th of March, having originally been pencilled in for Saturday 4th of March, however, for obvious reasons, the game will be shown live on Sky Sports, with kick off at 4.30pm UK time.

The game at Anfield promises to be an important one for Erik ten Hag’s side as they look to strengthen their grip on the UEFA Champions League places.

United beat Liverpool earlier this season back in August as the Reds won 2-1 in what was a memorable night at Old Trafford with Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford both getting on the scoresheet for United as they beat their arch-rivals to kick start their season, which started in disappointing fashion as the Reds lost at 2-1 home to Brighton and then were trounced 4-0 at the Gtech Community Stadium a week later by Brentford.

United’s immediate focus turns to the Carabao Cup semi-final first leg, which takes place at the City Ground against Nottingham Forest in what is an important game as United look to put themsleves in a good position heading into the return leg at Old Trafford next week.

The game between United and Steve Cooper’s side kicks off at 8pm UK time, and the game will be shown live on Sky Sports for those in the UK.
