Manchester United Player Involved in Car Crash

Manchester United player Antony was involved in a car crash on the motorway on New Year’s Eve but he was unscathed.

Numerous media outlets reported that the 22-year-old crashed into roadworks on a motorway near his home after playing for United in their 1-0 win against Wolves on New Year’s Eve.

The Brazilian international was lucky that he did not get injured and was given time off to recuperate from the occurrence, as he did not feature in Manchester United’s matchday squad for the 3-0 win against Bournemouth last Tuesday.

However, the summer signing was back for the 3-1 win against Everton on Friday and did not seem affected by the incident as he opened the scoring for Erik Ten Hag’s side three minutes into the game.

After the win in the FA, Cup Antony said “I also feel relieved, as in the last few days, I had a shock. I prefer not to comment on what happened. It was a personal matter, [and] really hard.” [TNT Sports]

As he carries on trying to show his worth for the £90 million United paid for him from Ajax in the summer transfer window.

Antony will look to be in both starting 11’s for the two matches United play this week as they face Charlton Athletic in the Quarter Finals of the Carabao Cup and Manchester City at home in the Manchester Derby.
