Looking at just how good our defensive record is and the strange tale of Anthony Martial.

– When it comes to the Premier League, Manchester United have performed admirably when it comes to defensive matters. Newcastle United remain the only side to have scored a Premier League goal at Old Trafford this season. In fact, their defensive record looks even better when you include all Premier League games this season with Manchester United having conceded just 6 goals, the fewest in the Premier League and one better than Manchester City who have conceded 7.

– Staying on the defensive side of things, the 6 goals Manchester have conceded in the Premier League is their lowest total after the same amount of games, 13, since the 2007 / 2008 season.

– Since Jose Mourinho took over the managerial role at Old Trafford, Manchester United have kept 26 clean sheets in 51 games, a feat no other Premier League team can match.

– Switching to offensive matters, Anthony Martial has managed to hit the back of the net on just the 1 occasion in his 5 Premier League starts, compared to the 4 goals and 2 assists he has to his name in 7 appearances from the bench.
