The media is, today, awash with talk about goalkeepers, with some of it linked to Manchester United.

According to one news source, Gazzetta dello Sport, Manchester United have been alerted to the fact that the teenage AC Milan keeper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, has turned down the latest contract offer from AC Milan.

It would appear that the 18-year-old, who is first choice at the San Siro, has rejected an offer of a new £80,000 a week salary.

However, perhaps we should point out that Manchester United are not the only club to be linked with the youngster.

Speculation also suggests that Real Madrid, Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on acquiring the teenage keeper, with it being pointed out that if the contract situation isn`t resolved, he will have to be sold this summer of he is able to leave on a free transfer next summer.

Continuing on the subject of keepers, one tabloid publication, the Daily Star, is suggesting that Jose Mourinho has, reportedly, valued our own David de Gea at an incredible £100 million, clearly to ward-off any club that believes they have the financial muscle, the acumen and the ambition to lure the Spaniard away from our great club.
