One interesting piece of transfer tittle-tattle relates to the Croatian winger Ivan Perisic.

Now you may recall if you are a regular visitor to Vital Manchester United that we covered the suggestion the 28-year-old player was, quite possibly, heading to Old Trafford.

Today we can report that may still be the case but also that no deal has yet been done with his current club Inter Milan.

However, lurking in the pages of the local media, Manchester Evening News, you get the feeling that it may only be a matter of time before Perisic becomes a Manchester United player.

Our source reports that the Croatian is already planning for life as a Manchester United player and expects to join the club this summer, suggesting that now the time is ripe to move to England after already sampling life as a footballer in France, Belgium, Germany and Italy.

Perisic also does his best to endear himself to Jose Mourinho, using such as ‘appreciates` and ‘enjoys` the work of the boss whilst also looking forward to resuming his Champions League career after a four-year absence.

But, perhaps the icing on the cake when it comes to a deal being struck for the player rated in the £44 million bracket, is that Inter Milan need to raise £26 million by the end of June to comply with the Financial Fair Play regulations, or face the consequences.

That factor, and that factor alone, may be the crucial factor in a deal for Peresic being signed, sealed and delivered.
