Some Manchester United players are in action for their national teams this evening, with one getting ready for the World Cup in Qatar, which kicks off on Sunday.

Scott McTominay starts in midfield for Scotland in their friendly match against Turkey, which kicks-off at 5pm UK time. A game against Turkey should represent good preparation for Scotland before they begin their Euro 2024 qualifying campaign.

Lisando Martinez is currently playing for Argentina against the United Arab Emirates as they look to get in some collective game time as a team before they kick off their World Cup campaign against Saudi Arabia next Tuesday. Martinez started this game, which kicked-off at 3.30pm UK time and at the time of writing, Argentina are winning 5-0.

Victor Lindelof, who has started the last two games for United, is also scheduled to play a friendly game for Sweden as they take on Mexico, who are preparing for the upcoming World Cup. Lindelof will be hoping to captain Sweden to victory against World Cup bound Mexico.

The England team touched down in Qatar on Tuesday evening, and it was down to work on the training pitch for Harry Maguire, Luke Shaw and Marcus Rashford as they look to prepare themselves for England’s first game against Iran on Monday afternoon at 1pm UK time.

Likewise, Tyrell Malacia has trained with his Netherlands team-mates today as they get set to begin their World Cup campaign against Senegal on Monday at 4pm UK time.

On Thursday, Bruno Fernandes, Diogo Dalot and Cristiano Ronaldo will play for Portugal against Nigeria at 6.45pm UK time, in what will be their final game before the World Cup.
