Already this week we`ve covered speculation implying that Juan Mata could be set for a return to Spain, with his contract coming to an end, now speculation is suggesting that another of our Spanish players could be heading for home.
Lurking in the pages of the red-top publication, the Mirror and as previously highlighted by the Spanish news source AS, is the inference that Ander Herrera is wanted by Atletico Madrid.
Herrera, 28-years-of-age, is on a contract that expires at the end of the current season and, although the midfielder has never expressed a desire to return to La Liga, we wouldn`t rule out such a move completely.
The midfielder has had a fair amount of game time this season but is not an automatic selection for the starting eleven.
Could interest from his native Spain trigger thoughts of a possible return for Ander?
