Every Dark Cloud Has A Silver Lining

|

The decision to change the occupant of the managerial hot-seat, at Old Trafford, was, in our opinion, a necessary one to take.

The board couldn’t let the situation that had developed continue, the stark reality was that Mourinho’s time has run its course and it was time for a change.

A change in the managerial hot-seat, usually, brings an immediate upturn in form and we sincerely hope that is the case for Ole Gunnar Solksjaer as he contemplates his first game, in temporary charge, of Manchester United.

Another aspect of a change in the hot seat is that it gives those players who, seemingly, fell out with Mourinho, the chance to get back in the first-team picture, with three players that immediately spring to mind being Valencia, Pogba and Fred.

Fred, the Brazilian midfielder, signed in the summer for close to £50 million, has failed to live up to expectations and rarely featured in recent starting elevens selected by Mourinho.

However, according to the news vehicle, the Telegraph, the 25-year-old remains determined to remain at Old Trafford and, under the new regime, fight for a place in the starting eleven.

The Brazilian knows he has a lot to do to win over the Old Trafford crowd but I’m sure they’ll get behind him if he shows the effort and commitment expected.

You never know, the dismissal of Mourinho could be the catalyst required to ignite the Premier League career of Fred.

Fingers crossed everybody!
