Departure Of Stalwart Manchester United Defender Looms Nearer

It seems more and more likely that Antonio Valencia, our club captain, could be leaving Old Trafford once the January transfer window opens.

The 33-year-old defender has had a dramatic fall from grace after going from a nailed-on starter to an outcast.

But, then again, I suppose the player did himself no favours by being caught liking a post, on Instagram, that called for Jose Mourinho to be sacked.

Mourinho, it appears, has a long and unforgiving memory.

But, with Valencia heading for the Old Trafford exit, where is he likely to be heading?

The good folk of the Daily Mail, are running with the suggestion that Valencia’s agent is already in town to negotiate his departure and that West Ham United, along with some unidentified Spanish clubs, are keen to strike a deal.

At 33-years-of-age, Valencia probably only has a couple of seasons left in his legs, therefore we’re pretty sure he’ll want to make, what could be the last transfer of his career, the right one for him.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll continue to monitor the situation and report back as deemed necessary.
