United Set To Add Top International Midfielder To The Squad

Although Ole Gunnar Solkjaer’s plan to bolster the squad with the best young domestic talent there is out there gets my admiration, I cannot help but get all enthusiastic when the club are linked with the acquisition of foreign talent.

Today is one such day.

Speculation has emerged, courtesy of inews and also backed up by the Manchester Evening News, that United are not only in the race to sign Giovani Lo Celso but are the favourites to attain his signature.

Giovani Lo Selso is an Argentine international, currently on the books of the Spanish club, Real Betis.

Also courted by Tottenham Hotspur, the 23-year-old midfielder rated at £67 million by his club.

Whilst the price may seem high, it is par for the course in an era when transfer fees are, once again, edging higher and higher.

Information relating to the player isn’t that prolific but his wiki account, Click Here, does come up with something interesting.

The player was only signed on a permanent basis, by Real Betis, in April after being on loan, if his sale is negotiated then his stay at Betis will have been short but sweet.

Here at Vital Manchester United, we’ll keep a close eye out for developments and report back as deemed appropriate, but I have a nagging feeling this deal could go through and it is one that, for some reason, excites me.
