Tuesday evening saw Manchester United crash out of the Champions League, at the hands of Sevilla.

The Spanish side were a side Manchester United were expected to beat and qualify for the quarter-finals of the competition.

But such is life, full of shocks and unexpected surprises.

This weekend, Manchester United continue their FA Cup adventure looking to beat Brighton and secure a semi-final spot in the last competition they can pick up any silverware in.

But, before we can concentrate fully on that fixture, we need to seek closure on the Sevilla game by announcing who took the accolade as your man-of-the-match.

With the poll closed there were just two players who had, as far as the percentage of the vote goes, reached double-figures, Romelu Lukaku and David de Gea.

Lukaku, whose late goal gave us hope that Manchester United could mount a late comeback, secured 27% of the vote.

But the winner, by a country mile, was David de Gea who accumulated 55% of the vote with those who participated acknowledging that but for the Spaniards performance the margin of defeat could have been much larger.
