It`s like one of those never-ending sagas, something akin to a soap opera meandering along where the storyline is in the offering but never quite, as of yet, reaching a conclusion.

Once again the subject of David De Gea grabs a few column inches in the media. This time though you get the slightest hint that perhaps, just perhaps, Manchester United might be about to force the issue.

With the Spanish keeper having just a year left on his contract and with Real Madrid constantly being mentioned as a destination for the talented stopper, De Gea continues to remain silent about his possible intentions.

But with something of a stalemate going on the suggestion is that United now want to force the issue by making De Gea make a decision.

If the outcome is that De Gea wants a return to Spain then United will be in a position whereby they can size up suitable replacements with, today, the media suggesting Manchester United have an interest in Jasper Cillissen of Ajax and Asmir Begovic of Stoke City.

As we have been doing for the last twelve weeks or so, we`ll endeavour to keep you abreast of any developments we stumble across.
