Having had such a great first season, last season might well have been a bit of a disappointment for Javier Hernandez.

Although he scored some crucial goals, his overall impact wasn`t as good as many had hoped it had been.

Perhaps that may well have been down to the fact that he missed a proportion of the pre-season build-up after suffering a head injury / concussion after being struck by the ball in pre-season training.

This time around though, as the new season approaches, Javier is confident that he can get back to his best form, the form he showed in that first season, remarking to the media on our tour of South Africa,

“I want to keep improving.”

“And I intend to work hard in order to repay the people that put their trust in me. I know I need to keep learning – you never stop learning.”

“I also know I need to be more professional on and off the pitch and I want to make sure I`m ready for the new season.”

“I really enjoyed my summer break in Mexico with all my family and friends but I have to say I was missing not being at Carrington.”

Hopefully, a full pre-season campaign coupled with a refreshing break will see a revitalized Chicharito.
