There has been some mischievous talk in the media, over the last couple of days, relating to the future of our top-scorer Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Earlier this season it was more-or-less accepted that the 35-year-old Swedish striker would extend his stay at Old Trafford by at least another 12-months.

However, the maverick nature of the man has seen various pieces of speculation come to the fore-front, with talk of Napoli, the MLS and the Chinese Super League all being worthy of a mention.

But, it would appear that Manchester United are keen to sort the situation out quickly with it being reported by The Sun that Jose Mourinho will sit down with Ibrahimovic this week to discuss the way forward.

Our source is suggesting that the club needs to know Zlatan`s intentions so they can adjust their summer budget and plans to bring Antoine Griezmann to the club, whereas our referenced source carries quotes attributed to being from someone within the club that read,

“Jose and Zlatan are expected to sit down in the next few days to find out intentions on both sides.

“Jose is very confident he will stay for another year, but the interest from abroad is worrying the powers that be.

“The budgets are already being set and the pencil pushers want to know what money is going into what pot.

“They want to put it to bed and he know there is enough respect between Jose and the player to now lay cards on the table.”

So which way do you reckon the dice will tumble folks?

Can you see Zlatan Ibrahimovic wearing the famous colours of Manchester United next season or will the veteran Swedish striker move on?

Here at Vital Manchester United we`d be delighted to read your views in our comments facility.
