Yesterday, after it was reported that Danny Welbeck had hobbled away form the Etihad Stadium on crutches and with his foot in a protective cast, the worst was feared.

Felled by Nigel De Jong, after coming on as a second half substitute, it was feared that Danny`s season was over.

Thankfully, that is not the case with it now being confirmed that there are no broken bones in his foot and there is every possibility that he could be fit for the last game of the season, at home to Sunderland, whilst also being available for Roy Hodgson`s Euro 2012 squad, if selected.

Some good news then from what was a bad evening!
