As Louis van Gaal surveys the wreckage of last night and ponders over what to do, is it worth pointing out that the Dutchman, as far as his opening three games go, has a worse record than the sacked David Moyes?

However, in his post match interview, Louis van Gaal didn`t seem too fazed by the humiliating defeat remarking,

“I`m not shocked because I know what can happen.”

“MK played very well – aggressive and they also had a bit of luck.”

“We made too many errors. Their goals came from errors.”

“At 2-0 down it`s very difficult to come back.”

“In the second half we created chances but didn`t have the luck to score.”

“I have no regrets about my selection but the changes were risky.”

“Tonight has cost us the chance of a trophy and that is disappointing.”

It damn well is, although I`d perhaps use a stronger word than disappointing!
