After winning the FA Cup, with Manchester United, Louis van Gaal was unceremoniously axed as the manager of the club.

His departure was forced because the Dutchman hadn`t secured Champions League football for the club, with the club, subsequently, missing out on a very lucrative financial revenue stream.

Since being axed, the Dutchman has kept a low profile, however, that could be about to change.

It seems that, according to the popular tabloid publication, the Mirror, the Dutchman could be set for a return to a previous club.

Our aforementioned source, is of the opinion that van Gaal might take over the vacant head-coach role at the Bavarian giants, Bayern Munich.

Bayern Munich are without a head-coach after the Italian, Carlo Ancelotti, was relieved of his duties following something akin to a player`s revolt over his methods.

Could van Gaal be on the verge of a sensational return to management?
