Is Louis van Gaal being refreshingly honest or is he playing a wonderful hand of poker?

Manchester United`s fall from grace last season brought a smile to the face of many an opposition supporter and our failure to qualify for European competition was heralded as a huge failure.

But the appointment of Louis van Gaal is seen, by many, as the catalyst to bring back those glory years we were so familiar with under Sir Alex Ferguson.

However, losing to Swansea City on the opening day of the season showed that United still have a long way to go to get there and ahead of the clash with Sunderland at the Stadium of Light, Louis van Gaal has warned those expecting instant glory,

‘To win the title this season would be a miracle. But that isn’t to say that it isn’t possible.”

What are your views?

Is Louis Van Gaal correct, or is he being a little over-cautious?

Your thoughts would be well received.
