Currently on World Cup duty with Ecuador, and fresh from a spat with England`s Raheem Sterling that saw him red-carded, it appears that Antonio Valencia is in the news for the right reasons this morning.

It is being reported that the wide-player has agreed a new four year deal that will see him remain at Old Trafford and in doing so has, so it is being said, picked up a pay increase of some £70,000 a week.

Valencia had only a year left on his original contract so United have moved quickly to stop other clubs anticipating getting Valencia on the cheap.
