Marcos Rojo is expected to become the latest player, who isn’t in Jose Mourinho’s future plans, to leave United with a move to Valencia expected any time now.

Peter Lim’s ownership of the Spanish club, with the good relationship he had with United, is said to be a help to Valencia in getting this deal done.

United will take a significant hit on the money paid for him a couple of years ago as Deporte Valenciano has reported the Red Devils will accept ?12m (£10.3m) for the Argentina international, which is something we’ll do in order to ‘get him off the books.’

The 26-year-old hasn’t featured for United this season with Mourinho deeming him surplus to requirement at Old Trafford, which ironically enough will probably help Arsenal in a deal they’re looking to do.

Mourinho wouldn’t sell Phil Jones to Arsenal as he doesn’t want to deal with Arsene Wenger, as we’ve already said he probably wouldn’t have wanted to help strengthen them either. But the departure of Rojo to Valencia is likely to increase the chances of Wenger’s side signing Shkodran Mustafi from the La Liga club.
