It`s quite a pot!

Although several media articles suggested that Louis van Gaal was far from happy with the scheduling of our recently completed US tour, suggesting that the lengthy travel arrangements were far from conducive to good pre-season preparation.

In fact on the back of such a grueling schedule Louis van Gaal has also heavily hinted that with Manchester United not being involved in any European football this season, he doesn`t want those behind the scenes organizing friendly fixtures, around the globe, whilst our rivals are engaged in Champions League or Europa League activities.

However, despite his wishes, you can see both sides of the coin with it being reported that Manchester United raked in a cool £8 million from the US tour, a figure comprised of revenue obtained from appearance money, prize funds and television revenue.

I think you`ll agree it`s quite a tidy sum and a sum, with all financial revenue streams being important. One that`s hard to turn down!
