One of the Manchester United walking wounded has moved a step closer to re-joining the first team squad and being available for selection.

The news source, Goal, are reporting that Marcos Rojo featured in an U23 game this week.

The 27-year-old defender who has been side-lined with a knee injury for what seems an age, played the first forty-five minutes of the Premier League International Cup fixture, against Athletic Bilbao, at Leigh.

In what was his first competitive action since picking up the knee injury, Rojo lasted until half-time before being withdrawn and replaced by Tyrell Warren.

It`s the first step on the road back to full match-fitness and we hope that there are no adverse reactions with the Argentine defender giving, when fit, Jose Mourinho additional options in the Manchester United back-line as we approach a critical stage of the 2017 / 2018 season.
