Okay, we may have been slightly mistaken when our source suggested that our new signing, Javier Hernandez, would start against France, but wasn`t the wait worth while?

Coming on as a substitute Javier took less than ten minutes to make his mark on the match.

With the game deadlocked at 0-0, the striker christened Little Pea raced clear of the static French defence to put Mexico 1-0 up, in a fixture they were to go on to win 2-0 and leave the French on the edge of elimination.

Speaking about his first goal in the World Cup Finals, Javier, remarked to the worlds press,

“I am so proud to have scored the goal and when I was sitting in the dressing room after the game I was thinking about my grandfather`s achievement more than 50 years ago.”

“I have not spoken to him or any other members of my family yet but I know they will all be very happy.”

“I am very happy to be joining Manchester United and am looking forward to moving there son.”

“But right now I am thinking 100 per cent about Mexico and the World Cup, of beating Uruguay in our next game and going as far as we can in this competition.”

Could Javier help propel Mexico to the knockout stages, I certainly wouldn`t bet against it!
