With the insinuation being bandied about that Manchester United are looking to appoint a sporting director ahead of naming who will become the next permanent manager of the club, it could prove to be a tough task.

Already, this week, here at Vital Manchester United we’ve covered the fact Click Here, that one target, Paul Mitchell, who is on the books of RB Leipzig, although on United’s radar is being tempted to stay at the Bundesliga side courtesy of being offered a new lucrative contract.

Today, it is being reported, by the tabloid publication, the Mirror, that a similar scenario is developing.

Seemingly, Manchester United are interested in the Atletico Madrid sporting director, Andrea Berta, but, once again, his club are reluctant to lose their asset and our referenced source is reporting that the Spanish outfit have offered the 47-year-old a lucrative contract to remain in Spain.
