Earlier this weekend, we covered the sad news that our centre-back, Eric Bailly, is set to be side-lined for up to three months with an ankle injury.

Sadly, it seems that Manchester United will also be without another influential member of the first-team squad, Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgian international, who is a free-agent come next May when his current contract deal expires, is set to be out of action for a month.

Fellaini, 30-years-of-age, has been troubled by a knee injury he picked up whilst on international duty with Belgium back in October where he suffered third degree medial collateral ligament damage.

But, playing through the pain barrier against Newcastle United, Basel and Brighton has done the midfielder no favours.

Instead, Fellaini, as reported by the news source, The Telegraph, is out for four weeks meaning that Jose Mourinho will be without the player for the entire festive programme.

In a period where the games come thick and fast, Fellaini`s absence is a blow to Manchester United.
