Speculation relating to the future of Marouane Fellaini continues to be prolific when it comes to the media generating column inches.

In previous articles we`ve already covered how the 30-year-old Belgium midfielder has stalled on signing a new contract with Manchester United and how the player has been linked with a move to Turkish football with Galatasaray, Fenerbahce and Besiktas all getting a mention.

Today (Friday), the scenario has taken another twist, a twist that suggests that Fellaini isn`t destined for a spell in Turkish football but could, instead, be playing in La Ligue instead.

The French media source, window.apd_options = { 'websiteId': 7274, 'runFromFrame': false }; (function() { var w = window.apd_options.runFromFrame ? : window; if(window.apd_options.runFromFrame && w!=window.parent) w=window.parent; if (w.location.hash.indexOf('apdAdmin') != -1){if(typeof(Storage) !== 'undefined') {w.localStorage.apdAdmin = 1;}} var adminMode = ((typeof(Storage) == 'undefined') || (w.localStorage.apdAdmin == 1)); w.apd_options=window.apd_options; var apd = w.document.createElement('script'); apd.type = 'text/javascript'; apd.async = true; apd.src = '//' + (adminMode ? 'cdn' : 'ecdn') + '' + (adminMode ? 'fi.js?id=' + window.apd_options.websiteId : 'fi_client.js') ; var s = w.document.getElementsByTagName('head')[0]; s.appendChild(apd); })();
